The past year I developed lower back issues and could not sit at the computer for very long without excruciating pain. I have an expensive office chair but it wasn't working for me so I began looking online for an orthopedic seat cushion. There are a lot of options, some more expensive than others but after reading the reviews, I decided to try this one. It took a day or two to get used to but it wasn't long before I could sit at the computer for 20 minutes at a time without pain. Because of the raised height of the cushion, I have to put my feet on a low box, otherwise it cuts off the circulation in my legs. This also took a little getting used to but it is worth the inconvenience. I have been using the cushion now for 2-3 months and am able to sit and work at the computer all day, with only an occasional break, pain free. It really is very comfortable and when my husband tried it out, he said he wanted one too and he doesn't have back issues!

I suffer from low back pain, and my mom suffers from sciatica. Since we've both been doing a lot of sitting around during all the COVID lockdown stuff, both of us have had our backs really start to act up. I finally did some research and found this cushion. Based on other reviews, I decided to give it a try.I am a gamer, so I sit on a hard gaming chair most of the day (even when not gaming-- it has just become my normal everyday chair). I've tried sitting on pillows and blankets to soften the stress on my low back and bottom, but nothong has given me relief for longer than maybe a few hours. The second I got this cushion in the mail, I put it on my gaming chair and sat down. Instantly, I could tell the difference!But will it stand the test of time, I asked myself. I had purchased a wedge-shaped cushion several years ago and it flattened and lost all of its support within a couple weeks, if even that. Well... as of the date I'm writing this review, I have had this cushion for about 2 weeks now, and it is still holding its shape and giving support. I sit on it pretty much all day every day, and it's holding up very well. Color me impressed!!I'm currently away for the weekend, so I asked my mom to try it out while I'm gone. She has used it on the dining room chair (hard wood), the computer chair (firm cushion), and the living room recliner (plush cushion). She says she notices relief for her sciatica in all 3 cases! This seat cushion is amazing! I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered it; it was a desperation buy. I get a lot of back pain, especially when I drive. In July 2019 I had to drive from NYC to Denver, a trip I broke up over 4 days to try to make it manageable, but I was terrified of the back pain I would inevitably feel. It usually starts to hurt within an hour and becomes unbearable within two. I didn’t know how I would survive four whole days! Anyway, I did some research and found this. The reviews were good so I thought at the very least it would be better than nothing. I am so so so thankful I did. Over all four days of driving 8-10 hours per day, I had no pain! I have no idea how such a simple thing could make such a difference, but it did. It seemed to keep me more upright, helped my posture, and kept me more aligned. It’s pretty firm but not too firm. I still use it every day, 8 months later, and toss it onto the passenger seat of my boyfriend’s car when he drives. It actually does what it says it will do. My only complaint is that it shifts when I get in and out of the car, so I have to readjust it a tiny bit every time and hold it in place as I sit down. Once I’m sitting though it stays put. I never really write reviews but I’ve been seeing this thing on some Buzzfeed lists recently, which reminds me to put in my two cents. This butt cushion helped me so much and I imagine it would do the same for others. Game changer for long drives!
